Finish 6 by Xmas: Update #1.

Photos are taken on the 26th of October.

I've made my life more difficult. I'm so frustrated, that I've lost my brown Dermosil eye pencil. I really liked it- such a lovely colour and great formulation. I've made quite good progress on this eye pencil, but I just can't find it anymore. :(
I substituted it with a black Illamasqua's eye pencil. Black eye liner is actually not my "cup of tea"(I'm very-very pale and black lines accentuate my paleness even more), but I try to use this pencil up.

I really do like Peggy Sage's lip pencil. Formula is not too hard and not too soft. It's such a nice and wearable colour. I'v used it quite a bit.
I do like colour of the Revlon's lip butter in Berry Smoothie, but I'm not a fan of this formula. It's melty and not very moisturizing in my opinion. I honestly haven't use this enough.
I've hit pan on my NYX Natural cream blush.
I see very little progress on my Charlotte Tilbury's powder.
I have no idea how much is left in Palladio's primer's tube, but it's harder to get enough product on the applicator.

Pan that Palette: update #1.

I've hit pan on 3 shadows. Unfortunately there's not much progress on other eye shadows and lip glosses. I must try harder.:)

Make up inventory #6: lip products

Lip pencils and lip glosses.

I have quite reasonable amount of lip pencils. But most of my lip pencils are almost in the same shade.
I'm not lip gloss lover, so I have only 2 of them.
Lipsticks.
This amount is too much for me. Lot of similar colours, finishes and formulas.

Make up inventory #5: Blushes

Cream blushes.
Products I've decided to keep are highlighted with blue.
Ideal number (for me ) of products is highlighted with yellow.

Powder blushes.

Make up inventory #4: Bronzers and highlighters.

I'm really negatively surprised how many bronzers and highlighters I have. I barely use these. Bronzer  looks usually very fake on my pale skin and shimmery highlighters accentuate my fine lines.  I'm not a fan of contouring either (I have very thin face and I don't need it much anyway). I got rid of the most of my highlighters, but decided to give some testing time to my bronzers. I'll definitely keep Charlotte Tillbury's bronzer-highlighter set. It's beautiful.

Products I've decided to keep are highlighted with blue.
Ideal number (for me ) of products is highlighted with yellow.

Make up inventory #3: face powders

I decided to keep all my face powders (except Physician's Formula). I just need more testing time. I can say, that powder from Charlotte Tilbury's make up line is so far my favourite.

Pan that palette!

I started this challenge on the 18'th of September. I'm trying to pan NYX Nude on nude Natural kit palette. I hope to finish it by the end of this year, but this time frame could change. Photo I post now is from my intagram account and was posted on the 18th of September. I will do an update soon.

My make up inventory #1: foundations, BB-, CC-creams, tinted moisturisers.

I'll start my make up inventory series.  I have to do it step by step, cause I have a little baby boy. Today's blogpost is about my foundation-type products.
I will post some photos and also tables I've created.

Foundations.

Here is a table, where I've written down all my foundations. Foundation, what I will keep in my make up collection (for now at least) are highlighted with blue and marked with "+". My ideal number of foundations is highlighted with yellow.
BB creams, CC creams, tinted moisturisers.

Foundations section needs definitely some work. I kept some of foundations just for testing them out little bit more.

Why I started this blog?!?

I have makeup collecting problem and I'm TRYING to stop. I just want all the makeup and I can't finish what I have. Even if I'm happy with a product I'm using, for some reason, I always think I might like some new one (that is basically the same) better.  I'm starting to get the same way with skincare - so I need to slow my roll there as well. I'm going to make a resolution to not become a beauty products hoarder. I'm sure, I don't have the biggest hoard, but I have a hoard none the less. I don't think I need to have a large makeup collection before I start thinking about "hoarding". Size is relative. And my collection is plenty big enough for me. My makeup items are all over the place and sometimes I forgot other makeup because their all stored up. I've actally really run out of space to store it and all these drawers full of lispticks, palettes etc, make me uncomfortable and unhappy.

Please don't get me wrong. If you can afford tons of make up and if you really enjoy it, there's absolutely nothing wrong with a large and well-loved beauty stash.
But for me – all this make up don’t make me happy. I do like variety, but variety with hundreds of eye shadows, foundations, lipsticks etc is too much for me. I know realistically I can't use 50 eye shadows or 15 blushes all almost the same colours. The number I have is ridiculous (at least for me) and they are all basically the same 3 colours repeated by different brands.  I don’t enjoy my makeup collection - so what’s the point?

 What I'm going to do?

I’m doing a make up  inventory (working on it right now). I’m making a list of all my makeup. I’ll check what I already have and find out what I will keep. Then I’ll organize my makeup storage, so I'll have easy access to anything I want to use. I’ll also challenge myself with different pan-hitting projects. This blog hopefully helps to keep me motivated, cause I'll write about my progress. It’s going to be a quite long journey. I’m mostly doing it for myself, but if there’s someone who finds this interesting, please feel welcome to follow my progress.

P.S. English is not my native language, so there's probably mistakes in my texts. Sorry for that and please feel free to correct me.
Sneak peak of  my inventory. Just face products.
